Actions YOU Can Take

Written by admin on May 9, 2009 – 5:20 am -

I am overwhelmed with the support from my subscribers. I thank you all for your emails and support.

I was alerted to a few things last night, but here are 2 that I think are most important.

Here is a petition which is close to having all the signatures it needs:

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/keep-life-saving-electronic-cigarettes-available

And here is an outstanding video:

If you have a chance today, please do sign the petition.

Every bit helps. And be sure to go through to youtube and rate and comment on the above video.

Here is the link to that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLVlSY4fwIg

Getting word out on this video will bring more attention to the issue at hand.

I believe the FDA could have handled this a lot differently.

I am currently working to assist my current subscribers, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patronage.

Electronic Smoking in Pubs Slowly Catching On

Written by admin on February 6, 2009 – 9:04 am -

When I first ordered some samples of electronic smoking devices, I needed someone to test in a bar. I have to be honest - I’ve been a bit chicken about doing it myself - but knew someone who’d be up to the challenge.

My friend Phil is a regular cigar smoker, and I knew he’d be interested in the electric cigar. I sent him off to try it. Yes, he got a couple of strange looks initially, but then it was just business as usual. I was delighted that he had successfully vaped and no complaints were submitted.

Recently I came across an article here which had this bit to say:

A PUB landlord has turned to technology in an innovative attempt to beat the smoking ban.

Rising Sun boss Carl Wright, 40, has started selling electronic cigarettes at the Reculver Road pub after customers moaned about smoking outside in the wet and cold.

I began to recall all the places I visited in the past which had courtesy cigarette vending machines which now were still there but located at the front so smokers could purchase a pack and go right outside with it. Many pub owners went out of their way to do what they could but were inflicted with fines if they allowed patrons to continue to smoke indoors.

The smoking bans did have a major effect on some places. And when it didn’t, the outside cleanup became a whole new issue.

I used to work in a restaurant that while it was being built had invested thousands of dollars for special ventilation to be installed in the bar area - just for the convenience of the smokers. Within 2 years they were also told they could not allow smoking inside despite their efforts to keep everything separated.

I would like to see these places offer the option of e-smoking to their patrons. Perhaps vending machines selling refill cartridges - and atomizers could be offered - which could promote the establishment. Printing the bars logo on them can replace the free advertising they used to give away on matchbooks.

I think Carl Wright is on the right track.

Electronic cigarettes are so inoffensive. Perhaps these types of new offerings can be an additional step to helping revive the late night scene and give our currently sad economy just one more little boost.

Electronic Cigarette Accessories

Written by admin on January 12, 2009 – 8:13 am -

Here is finally my video on making your own electronic cigarette accessories.

And here is part 2.

I wanted to add - I did finish off the pieces with the glaze that came with the paints. As they are drying their color appears to be getting more and more vibrant.

Oh, and when you use the surface conditioner, be sure to just leave it on and let it dry.

Color Flame Curiosity - Purple, Green, And Blue Fire Batteries

Written by admin on January 10, 2009 – 6:01 pm -

They are here! Color flames for your electronic cigarette. But why would you want a color flame?

Well, the first reason is that the current e-cigarette is sometimes so convincing that onlookers are just not convinced. They see that orange flame from a distance and it really still looks like something is on fire.

If you visit the NJOY site and do not see the color assortment as of yet, don’t be concerned. They now have green, blue and purple. These are available with the classic pen style e-cig, or the NPRO shortie or mini style. They are for all the colors as well - so if you have a black atomizer for instance you can get a matching black battery with a different color flame. If you don’t see them when you go to order, simply call the order in. You can still apply your coupon code.

I personally will be ordering one of each color. Not only can you throw off those who think you’re smoking, but you can match your wardrobe as well. I do have to admit a bad habit I have though. Many times I bunch all my batteries together in my purse, and get mixed up on which one I have used up. This assortment of colors will make it a snap to know which battery I may have used up first.

The color batteries are under $10.00 and are also covered for a year of use upon purchase.

I promised quite a while ago to show you that I’m painting my electric cigarette - and I am. In addition, I have found a way to make an easy case out of an altoid box and I’ll be sharing some photos of that as well.

Until then, be sure to check out the color batteries.

Introducing NROBO Disposable Electronic Cigar

Written by admin on November 17, 2008 – 10:57 am -

The latest addition to the NJOY line of products is now here. The Nrobo™ is actually a disposable electronic cigar. Robo is short for for “robosto” which in cigar terms means a substantial but short cigar. Robosto’s are traditionally five to five and a half inches long, with a 50 ring gauge.

Njoy's Nrobo™

NJOY's Nrobo™

This newest member of the NJOY family actually is wrapped in dark paper like skin and has the look and feel of a robust cigar. It comes completely charged, and provides the user with 1,500 to 1,800 puffs. Currently is is available with no nicotine or low nicotine - which makes sense as typical cigar smokers do not actually inhale while smoking. For cigar users it’s all about the flavor, which for this device come currently in cherry and vanilla (OMG, I love the vanilla and my non-smoking inlaws were shocked on how nice it smelled when they got up close to me)

What does NJOY really think about the Nrobo™?

It’s easy and convenient and you can use it NYwhere™, NYtime™, NYplace™.

The current retail price for the Nrobo™ is $44.99, but as most of you know if you sign up to that little free report either in the upper left corner of this page or at http://NJOY-coupon.com you’ll find a secret coupon for 20% off all your NJOY products.

The NRobo will only be available for the holiday season, and is currently in production so if you are even thinking about it you may want to get your orders in today.

Oh, this is pretty cool too. Order a box of 5 Nrobo’s and get a free leather carrying case valued at $19.95.

What an outstanding stocking stuffer for your favorite cigar connoisseur!

Keep in mind, orders received on or before November 28th will be shipped December 8th - plenty of time before the rush.

Snus Revisited

Written by admin on September 23, 2008 – 10:30 am -

One of the most famous firms that turn out snus is Swedish Match. This is also thought to be the best product due to the mix and the packaging and the improved pouch. There are more General snus products offered on the market. In Sweden as an example snus started as a product for the working class and changed into a product for the high class society. The snus produced in Sweden comes in two types : the loose type and the portioned one. When it was 1st developed it was meant to give one the nicotine they required whilst leaving their hands free for work. Swedish snus is placed under the higher lip close to the gum. If the mini pouches are used it is invisible, therefore if you don’t need anybody to grasp you are using it just don’t tell them. Also as it is packed you don’t have to spit it and it is simpler to dump it. A portion should be kept for roughly half an hour, but one can have as many portions a day as wanted. The General snus brand is an example of the few brands that offer maxi portions. The nicotine amount in a pouch varies from 0.4 mg to fifteen mg. The analysis made shows that the quantity of nicotine the body absorbs is half the quantity of nicotine present in a snus portion.

General snus offers pouches with 4, 6, 8, and eleven grams of nicotine. The snus is made thru a special process and the ingredients used are all employed in the alimentary industry too. Nevertheless, not every nation permit snus to be marketed or sold. The states where the snus is promoted are also promoting it as a means of reducing the harm produced by smoking. In the producing process the tobacco can be grinded differently. The finite product does not need to be gnawed or sucked on like the snuff.

DIY Nicotine Dangers

Written by admin on September 15, 2008 – 1:35 pm -

One of the things I really like about the NJOY is the easy to order and handle cartridges.  I recently discovered there are new variety packs available, and I just ordered some today to try out.  They are multi flavored.

Currently NJOY provides regular, menthol, vanilla strawberry, and apple flavors. I know they’re working on some more and I’ll be sharing my favorites as soon as they come in.

These flavors come in various nicotine levels so no one is left out.

I just came across some scary information though.  In the efforts of some to save money or just be adventurous, there are those who are attempting to create their own e-liquid. When doing this, they are adding their own nicotine.  This is something extremely hazardous!

Nicotine is not something to be handled lightly.  In fact, if handled improperly it can and will kill you. As little as a single 60mg drop can leave you 6 feet under. Effects will be felt as a nicotine overdose. The typical dizzyness, nausea, and even vomiting - and before you know it it’s too late.

Here is a list of symptoms to be aware of:

  • Vomiting and nausea, diarrhea
  • Headaches
  • Troubled Breathing
  • Wanness or Pallor (paleness)
  • Sweating
  • Heart Palpitations
  • Stomach Cramps
  • Drooling
  • Fatigue

And ultimately a severe nicotine overdose can cause death.

In the pursuit of nicotine extraction techniques, most methods are untested and can prove dangerous. The formulation of substances used with your electronic cigarette really should be left in the hands of trained chemists. Taking these experiments into your own hands can not only be hazardous for you, but for your family as well.

Be smart.  Order cartridges and don’t play with creating your own concoctions. If there is a flavor or modification you desire, please contact Njoy directly and let them know. They are extremely accomodating, and the safety to their customers is a priority.

New York Post and Wacky Tabacky

Written by admin on August 20, 2008 – 12:14 pm -

I was delighted to see a spot in the New York Post which explored smokeless nicotine.  It was nice to see an electronic cigarette spotlighted as an option.

Justin Rocket Silverman reported that Lindsay Lohan is a fan of “dissolvable tobacco” pill Ariva.  Did no one tell Lindsay about the e-cig?  It looks like Ariva is a powdered chewing tobacco.  While tobacco in it’s pure form does leave behind the glue and other elements brought on by cigarettes, there is no denying that the electronic cigarette with it’s 4 simple ingredients has got to be the king of tobacco addiction alternatives.

Snus is another hot topic.  Loose snus or packed snus.  The packed one comes in something like a teabag. Loose snus is kept near the gum like chewing tobacco.  Snus dates back to the late 1700’s.  I’ve never used the stuff, but I gotta wonder if you have to spit the stuff up.  And additional problem here is that you are selling an actual tobacco product and the taxes will be imposed.  I also wonder how the mouth is left tasting.

Snuff which is also referred to as “cowboy cocaine” is tobacco that is snorted.  Apparently this is confused with cocaine in public places at times, and burns to use.  It delivers an immediate nicotine blast to the user and has been around for at least 400 years.

Crown 7 got the honorable mention as a brand of electronic cigarette.  I one part of this article really gave me a giggle:

It’s not certain how local bars and restaurants will take to the Crown 7 if it catches on in NYC, but there’s no law against boiling water indoors, which is essentially what the device does.

That was a really good explanation I thought. The atomizer and the battery work with the propylene glycol to create a steam which looks like smoke. But we all know there is no real smoke or fire.

I wish Mr. Silverman had seen the NJOY NPRO. That would have really had him going. The example picture provided was of a cigar style electronic smoking device. The NPRO in white looks just like a regular cigarette. I think that may have really converted readers quickly who enjoy smoking their tobacco.

Painting My Electronic Cigarette

Written by admin on August 12, 2008 – 7:22 am -

I bought the paint, brushes and sponges.  I just need to find the nerve.  I’m going to paint my electronic cigarette!

After seeing a lovely layered job someone did, I figured it’s time.

I headed out to the Michael’s Arts and Crafts store a couple of days ago.  The paint selection was overwhelming.  I wanted to be sure to not only select some colors I liked, but needed to be careful to get the right kind of paint.

The instructions I obtained called for FolkArt Enamels Acrylic Metallic Paint for glass & ceramics.  While Michaels carries FolkArt, I was unable to find this particular blend.  Then there was the choice on metallic or not.

After a good hour or so bouncing around in the store, a declined sponge sword fight with my other half, bouncing from the do it yourself kits and model cars to the glass ware, I finally picked some stuff up.  I got the Delta glass paint which will need to cure for at least 10 days after applying.  I really couldn’t help myself, and I got a couple of sample kits.  One is iridecent, and the other is just plain.  I also got PermEnamel in the silver.  Now with so many colors, I don’t know where to begin.

I made sure to check something with NJOY first.  I wanted to make sure my warranty would be valid after painting my e-cig.  I am delighted to report it is!  If there are any problems as far as the battery dying or atomizer, NJOY will take your painted e-cig and replace it with a new one - just not painted.

I am charging up the batteries in my camera right now, and I’ll see if I can’t supply some pics or video when I start painting.  We will however have to wait some time for me to test the paint and see how it holds up after it has cured - so I don’t recommend anyone else do this just yet!  You can, but I can’t guarantee anything.

While I am at it, I have a cigarette case solution as well, and I can paint that to match.  I’m almost ready to go!
