NJOY NPRO Electronic Cigarette

Written by admin on July 30, 2008 – 2:16 pm -

This just in! I’ve been sent some pictures of the new NJOY NPRO.

It appears to be the size of a traditional cigarette, and comes in silver or white.

I’ll be anxious to try this new one – and being the non-conventional gal I am I will probably go for the silver.

I just took some photo’s of my own recently, so today may be a good day for a slide show. It does look like rain here in the north east.

Here’s the silver.  Very cool.  I believe the first line of NJOY’s were in the silver on the cigar style as well.  I hope this one will stay.

This looks just like my honey’s Marlboro’s. He has not committed to making the change yet. I gave him a pen style, but I think this will be a bit more convincing.

And here are the classics:

The tres amigo’s as I like to call them here. The white, black and burgundy.

Oh, I almost forgot! I had ordered a cigar for my friend Phil. I was really impressed at how classy it looks.

So there’s the exciting slide show.

I’ve had my nJoy e-cigar for a week. One small disappointment–I really like the taste and feel of the smoke, at least when it works. But sometimes it just seems to “quit” giving me smoke. I’ll have to just set it down, and sometimes when I let it just sit for a couple of hours, it will come back to good working condition. If I need to smoke during that time, of course, I just have to go back to my regular cigs. Have you, Jill, or anyone else, had the problem of little or no smoke coming out of your e-cig for extended periods? It’s even done this with a newly charged battery and a fresh cartridge. Does the atomizer simply “overheat” or something? Any tips on how to keep it working well all the time? Thanks, Dave

    Hi Dave,

I did have the atomizer die on me, but other than that I don’t seem to have a problem with smoke.

I don’t leave my device screwed together when I’m not using it. I unscrew it after every use.

Are you in the UK? I know here in the states if you order an Njoy they take care of any problems like this.

I think it goes into a standby mode, but yes – the atomizer can over heat.

I usually hear great things about the cigars. They have more battery power and more e-liquid in them.

Oh my gosh, I want one now !! My black one should be here Friday. NJOY got my new atomizer to me on Monday. I think I am starting to figure this thing out.

The lighter you puff, the easier it is on your atomizer. When the cartridge starts to run low on it’s supply, I tend to inhale more and at that point you can feel the atomizer heat up in your hand. Now it is time to put in a new cartridge, when I did that, my atomizer cooled back down. I think we all have a tendency to try and get the most out of our cartridges.

I never want to be without an atomizer ever again. It was so nasty to go back to cigarettes.

I am with you, I want the new silver one also. I am so excited about the NPRO because it is so much more like a real cigarette. Hopefully the weight will be a little lighter and oh my gosh, thank you all so much for the round top instead of the other filter tip. That is the one thing I still dislike about the e-cig the filter tip.

Bring on the NPRO ! I wish it was already out there.

I had prolems with the classic cigarette giving smoke. They sent me a new battery and it still did it, then they sent me a new atomizer and it works great. I would much rather have the new style that looks like a real cigarette, but who can afford another one????

Does anyone know where you insert the NPRO Cartridge? I put it in the end where your mouth goes but can’t figure out what holds it in place.

    Hi Marie,

You may have had a loose cartridge. Sorry, it happens once in a blue moon. It should snap in snuggly – try a new one.

I have a question about the cartrige for the NPRO. I just got one in yesterday, but the instructions aren’t very clear about how to insert the cartrige. When I unwrap the piece it has three parts: a cap, the slide, and another piece that is stuck inside the cap(I’ll call this “piece X” for simplicity). Am I supposed to pull “piece X” out of the cap and drop it into the slide, or ignore “piece X” completely? I’m really confused, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are not nearly enough reviews on the web of this product, and I just bought the thing myself, so I wanted to correct that issue. I’ve only had this for three days. Bought it on Friday, and smoked it exclusively on Saturday and Sunday. Tried a normal cigarette this morning, and couldn’t deal with it (smell and taste were horrible).

At first I was having issues with my NJOY. Most normal smokers probably will. This is because most smokers tend to take a wam bam thank you ma’am approach to smoking. Its inhale quick, inhale strong, exhale, next drag. Smoking an electronic cigarette like this however doesn’t work. You have to give the atomizer time to work. Inhale slow and steady, and you’ll get a good hefty punch of what you’re looking for.

Once I got the trick down, I was extremely satisfied. You don’t get a whole lot of flavor out of these. That is true; however, the benefits outweigh that small issue by far. The menthol barely has any mint to it. Apple had a bit stronger feel. Not sure about the others yet, but I’m ordering myself a case of vanilla to try out.

Remember, slow and steady. It’s not a drag race.

I just got my npro black and it seems a litle weird. It gurgles when i “drag” on it. and it doesnt light up or produce a mist about 50% of the time. There are also holes in the gold rings between the atomizer and the batt, and the unit seems to work better if one of them is obstructed with your finger. I think the pressure sensor that tells the atomizer to go on is not sensitive enough. What have you all found? What can i do to correct these issues? Does Njoy have a FAQ or forum page?

I can’t figure out how to insert the cartridge in my NPRO NJoy. I pull off the tan part (I think this is where the cartrige goes), but the cartridge is skinny on one end and fatter on the other. I can’t put the tan part (the part the goes in your mouth) back on the NPRO because the fat part of the cartidge is too big. What am I doing wrong?

  13. By Alex Hammer on Jan 23, 2009 | Reply

rich: the clear rubbery piece pulls off the cartrage and then ther tan part goes on the npro. The clear part is like a cork or cap for the cartridge so it doesnt dry out.

I just recently got the npro, after some frustration and DISjoy (lol) i found that you have to hold the device at a downward angle to get maximum smoke. I was having problems with it working and it was also discharging the nicotine solution into my mouth. So i held it down, and now it working great. I just wish the cartridges were a little more accessible.

i wanted to try these out and bought a battery, charger, and a box of cartridges. it seems there is another piece, an atomizer? i dont see them for sale anywhere. do i have to buy a “starter kit” to get one?

  16. By joshua on Jan 30, 2009 | Reply

im sorry, its for the njoy pro

  17. By admin on Jan 31, 2009 | Reply

    Hi Joshua,

I’m not entirely sure what parts you bought when you got them all separate.

I do highly recommend the starter kits as all the parts are covered for a full year, and when you order online you have a whole month to try the unit and return it if you aren’t happy – even after it has been used. It comes with sample cartridges as well which you wouldn’t have to replace.

You may want to call the customer service and leave a message if you don’t get through right away.

will you be adding the dse-901 to the njoy line in the future? I like that model better and would love to be able to buy them at walgreens when they start selling the NJOY’s there

hi i am a smoker and wanted to try this product can i use this product all the time or do i use it when i ever i get a nicotine craveing.Do i use this product like i use the patches or gum to quit or can i use this all the time

  20. By admin on Mar 22, 2009 | Reply

    Hi John,

You can use the electronic cigarette as often as you use a regular cigarette. You can switch at any time to regular cigarettes – as this is not like the patch. Because you inhale the nicotine it is delivered the same way as smoking. It will give you immediate satisfaction, and will wear out of your system the same way cigarettes do.

So yes, you can use this all the time, but you can also use it in places where smoking is not allowed.
